Deserted Theatre from 1870s
An avid urban explorer ventures into a deserted theatre.
The 4-storey theatre was built between 1877-1884 on the site of a ruined church.
In 1937, it was remodelled by the architect Amílcar da Silva Pinto in 'radical
modernism' style, with the facade dominated by the dynamic curve of the central
cylinder that imposed a new verticality to the space. Both outside and inside,
there is a clear influence of art deco, especially in lighting and decoration.
It was closed in 1999. On March 10, 2007 , the building was partially burned
down, with the interior decoration being irreparably lost. However, the
concrete structure and the facade remained.

Deserted Unfinished Water Park
An avid urban explorer ventures into a deserted water park.
Construction of the water park started in 2008. Later, some financial irregularities
were discovered causing construction to stop in 2014. Apparently 25 million
Euro had already been spent. The owners still seem to think it's going to be
finished one day, but it seems to be falling into disrepair.
It's a massive project, but the problem could be its location, which is far away
from anywhere that is popular for tourism. Who is going to visit this
enormous water park in the middle of the countryside?
