to the 5th Century Pashupatinath Temple, the most important and oldest Hindu
temple in Nepal standing on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, that
survived the recent 7.9 magnitude earthquake which destroyed many
World Heritage monuments in the country.

Himalayan Views at Kathmandu

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam leads all major government bureau heads in an open-top

Yarn-bombed Shatin Park
Artist Esther Poon, Hong Kong's own yarn-bomber, works with over 1,000 local
students and people from community groups, to cover the entire Lek Yuen
Bridge and many part of Shatin Park with their knitting works.
This is part of the Jockey Club Community Arts Biennale 2015 – which is
hosting a number of interesting art events organised by the Hong Kong
Youth Arts Foundation until July.

Kacey Wong with Tin Man 11
Hong Kong visual artist Kacey Wong inside his Tin Man No. 11, an urban sleeping
unit built on top of a moving trolley, one of his three art works at the Mobile
Space Exhibition at Jockey Club Creative Art Centre (JCCAC) at Skek Kip Mei,
Hong Kong from 17 April to 7 May.
Tin Man No. 11 is transformed into an attractive piece of public art when
parked vertically like a tin toy robot; lying down, it is a comfortable
home with a bed, a desk and a chair. It enables the homeless to stand
up with their own two feet in the face of hardship.

ending at the Church of Merce Conxo carrying the paso of Jesus on crucifix
carried on the shoulders of the cargadores.

Combarro Fishing Village
The old quarter of Combarro, on the northern shore of the estuary of Pontevedra,
in north-western Spain, is a postcard-perfect fishing village that looks like
it was plucked straight out of the Middle Ages. With a jumble of seaside
horreos (granary built in wood or stone, raised from the ground by pillars)
and dotted with cruceiros (crucifix), it is a perfect break from the
cathderals, churches and pilgrimage.

Catedral de Santiago de Compostela
The Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela is the reputed burial-place of Saint James
the Great, one of the apostles of Jesus Christ. The cathedral has historically
been a place of pilgrimage on the Way of St. James, since the Early Middle Ages.
The building is a Romanesque structure with later Gothic and Baroque additions.
This is the east-side fascade as the stunning main fascade of the Obradoirois under
renovation. Santiago de Compostela was designated a UNESCO World Heritage in 1993.

port city of A Coruna in Northern Spain, stands guard at the access ramp to
the Tower of Hercules, the oldest working lighthouse in the world built by

edge of the civilised world.

Melaka (Malacca) is designated a UNESCO World Heritage in 2008. Peranakan are those of
Chinese descent also known as Straits Chinese who inter-married with locals in
