 An avid urban explorer ventures into a deserted luxury villa on a site of over
 50,000 sq ft.
 
 The villa is built in a simple modernist architectural style. There are 3 independent
 houses, 2 storeys high, with spiral staircases for access. There is a shared hall in the
 centre, linking the houses. Each bathroom is designed in a different colour theme,
 and there are 2 private swimming pools and gardens. The villa has been
 deserted since 1999.

  Exploring Abandoned Mansion from 1960s
 
 An avid urban explorer ventures into an abandoned mansion.
 
 The 2-storey building has been abandoned for a while. Newsapers, magazines and
 catalogues from the 1960s are found. Furniture and personal items are scattered
 throughout the house, including a bird cage, an old TV and a typewriter. A
 large swimming pool sits in front.

  Cityscape Resolution Hong Kong by Yoshirotten
 
 Cityscape Resolution – Hong Kong by renowned Tokyo-based graphic artist and art
 director Yoshirotten, opens at The Shophouse,
           4 Second Ln, Tai Hang, through April 4.
 Registration required.
 
 The immersive showcase comprises of 3 parts – Yoshirotten's solo works,
 collaborative works with Hong Kong photographer Wing Shya and reworks on
 Daido Moriyama's “New Shinjuku” series.
 
 The Shophouse, by Hong Kong-based creative agency Unveil Limited, is a
 lifestyle and exhibition space in a restored 1930s tong lau (Chinese
 tenement), rated a Grade III historic building.

  Idyllic Sham Chung
 
 Located beside Three Fathoms Cove on the north of Sai Kung Peninsula, idyllic
 Sham Chung village was first established in 1879 and thrived on rice farming.
 At its peak in 1950, the village was home to over 500 residents.
 
 After many of the community's children left to work and study abroad, the
 village became abandoned. A few village houses, one of them built in 1936,
 has been restored as Sham Chung Manor. There are vast lawn and lagoon
 in this blissful countryside.

 Built in 1982, the townhouses are a block of 3 buildings, 3-storey high each with a nett

  Exploring Deserted Movie Studios
 
 An avid urban explorer ventures into a deserted movie studios.
 
 The entire studio was formally completed in 1965, with 15 studios, 2 exterior movie
 sets, editing rooms, printing rooms, canteens, staff dormitories and other facilities.
 It was the largest privately owned Hollywood-style movie studios in the Chinese-
 speaking world. In 2015, it was rated as a Grade I historic building.
 
 It is a pity that over 90% of the studio complex has been demolished and a large
 number of expensive equipment and historical films have been deserted.

 leading to the main hall with an altar commemorating the ancesters
 and old family photos. Stairs lead to the first floor on both sides.

  Ting Kou Bridge
 
 The Ting Kau Bridge, 1,177 m length, is one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world.
 Cables are anchored to three pylons, and two main decks are equipped with longitudinal
 stabilizing cables which connect the top of the middle pillar with two side pillars.
 
 Construction started in 1994 and in April 1998 the bridge was opened for traffic.

 The building was completed in 1957. It has 5 storeys of a 2 units on each floor with a
 nett area of 789 to 864 sq ft. Some units are partitioned into subdivided rooms.

  Tulips Blossoming in Tai Po
 
 Spring time. As earth rejuvenated, flowers bloom again. Recently, various flowers
 are blossoming around Little Egret Lake in Tai Po, offering a colourful display.

 of tulip field, attracting a lot of people to take pictures and selfies.

  Exploring Deserted Love Hotel
 
 An avid urban explorer ventures into a deserted love hotel.
 
 The 2-storey hotel has many
           rooms, each with a large bed and ensuite bathroom with
 bathtub. Some rooms have electric motion round beds.
 
 Each room is uniquely decorated, some with large sexy mural on the walls.
 The hotel has been deserted for a while and all beds and fixtures have been removed.
 
 This was once the extravagant residence of one of Hong Kong's most infamous
 drug lords, Ng Sik-ho, aka "Crippled Ho" - so named as a result of a permanent limp
 he acquired from a gang fight when he was younger. He was arrested by ICAC
 in 1974 and was given a 30 year sentence the following year.

  Stairway to the Stars
 
 An avid urban explorer ventures into an deserted temple for the rich and famous.
 
 The 2-storey building was built on a site of 14,265 sq ft. It has a unique Chinese-style
 design with unusual red brick motifs on the facade and detailed reliefs
 decorating the exterior walls plus Chinese style ceramic roof tiles. It appears to be
 a mansion, mainly used for residential purposes. The ornate entranceway, the
 classical spiral staircase and the size of the rooms within all seem to be conspicuous
 displays of wealth. It was used as the headquarters of a movie house in the 1980s
 which went out of business in 1991.
 
 It was then turned into a plush karaoke lounge with a dramatic history. In 1995,
 it was converted into a temple and followers included many movie stars
 and wealthy people. It was known as the "Temple for the Stars". It was closed in
 1999 and became deserted since.

  Gorgeous Mosaic at Deserted Century-old Chapel
 
 An avid urban explorer ventures into the deserted  part of a chapel.
 
 The chapel was completed in 1875. It was built in the Neo-Gothic style in a symmetrical
 design and with verandahs on all 4 sides. Rubble and ashlar plinth walls at the
 basement level, ornamental balustrades and arched colonnades leading to the
 verandahs form the elevations of the building. Part of the premises has
 been deserted where a gorgeous mosaic is located.
 
 It was closed in 1974. The premises were later taken over by the Hong Kong
 Government and then rated a declared monument.

 The 2-storey villa was built in the early 1930s as a weekend retreat or holiday home.
 A spiral staircase provides access to the first floor. From the late 1950s to the
 early 1970s, the villa and the surrounding area were used as a rattan factory.
 
 From the early 1970s to 1983, it was rented to a voting member of the Royal Hong Kong
 Jockey Club who ran a riding school there. Several buildings were constructed on
 the right as an office and stables.
