 unconditional release of Liu Xiaobo and his wife, Liu

 prison sentence. He is on medical parole with
 terminal liver cancer but no chemotherapy or

  Joshua Wong Leads Protest Ahead of Xi's Visit
 
 Joshua Wong, Legislators Leung Kwok-hung (aka Long Hair) and
 Nathan Law plus 23 pro-democracy activists staged a peaceful
 protest at the iconic Golden Bauhinia Square on Wednesday,
 the eve of President Xi Jiping's 3-day visit to Hong Kong
 for the 20th anniversary of the city's transfer of sovereignty.
 
 The activists demanded genuine universal suffrage and the
 unconditional release of Liu Xiaobo, the jailed Chinese
 Nobel Peace Laureate. All 26 protesters were surrounded
 and then arrested by about 500 police and firemen after 4 hours.

 Laureate and most famous dissident, Liu Xiaobo, who is on
 medical parole after being diagnosed as suffering from
 terminal liver cancer on 23 May. No chemotherapy or surgery
 or return to Beijing allowed, according to sources.
 
 61-year-old Liu, who participated in the 1989 pro-democracy
 Tiananmen Square demonstrations, became the first Chinese
 to win the Nobel Prize in 2010, and is the only laureate
 serving a prison sentence.
 
 He was arrested in 2008 and subsequently sentenced to 11 years
 in prison for 'inciting subversion of state power.' China has
