Peace Rally and Concert

Hundreds of penisula residents and many community groups came out in force and
joined in the Peace Rally and Concert. The community joined in the Peace Concert by Kenny Neal with dancing and singing. City police were on hand to monitor the gathering at the City Hall Plaza in Palo Alto. The event was organized by the Peninsula Peace and Justice Center. To order photos, please email us at info@phyang.org  Paul George Kicks Off the Rally Paul George (right), Executive Director of PPJC and organizer, leads hundreds of Peninsula residents and many community groups to mark the fifth anniversary of a war that should never have happened...  Still Raging After 5 Years Raging Grannies, the senior women activist group expresses their feelings against the Iraq war through their songs.  End the War  Stop Bush  Worst Prez Ever  Make Music Not War 12 year-old Gemma and 13 year-old Hannah are hope for the next generation.  Cody for Obama Karen Porter and Cody, her canine, shows their presidential preference.  War Criminal Randy Sandberg of San Jose paraded as Vice President Dick Cheney.  Kenny Neal Rocks Award-winning Kenny Neal sings the blues.  Luca Dances 2 year-old Luca of Palo Alto dances to the music.  Brielle Sways Brielle O'Connor (age 7) of Mountain View sways with the music with her father Tim and grandma Jean.  Everybody Boogies The music is infectious. Everyone, including Paul and Linda, joins in and dances to the music. |
